Today at Globo gym had Tom, Aunt Gloria, and SIL Tiff! Woot!
Did the DB Bear Complex.
5 Deadlifts
5 HPC
5 Thrusters
I used 30# DB's again b/c I can't comfortably do Thrusters with 35. Sigh. Gloria felt her legs getting wobbly so decided not to complete the workout, but I was still proud of her for giving it a whirl!
I did 12 full rounds and 4 deadlifts.
Forgot this:
CFE WOD immediately following the CF today. Uncle Tom joined me in this one also!
8 rounds, run 2 minutes, rest 1. Try to run as hard as you can for the 2 minutes, but if you deviate from your distance it's bad. I did .23 each segment except the last I did .24.

OK.
I'm old and technologically challenged. Keep that in mind....
The link above is a video of me performing a clean.
I did the following:
160 x 3
170 x 3
180 x 3
190 x 1
200 x 1
210 x 1
The video is of the rep at 200#. The clean is sucessful. It has its faults, but that's not the point.....
The post-clean festivities are one of the funnier things I've seen myself do. On each of the single-rep sets, I got a little light-headed after I dropped the bar.
This particular instance it was more than just a "little" light-headed. The room faded out and hilarity ensued.
If the link doesn't work, someone will have to teach me how this new fandangled technology works because it is truly worth seeing.
I can't see it! It says it's private.
I would love to see it, but yep, it's private.
Today I did snatch pulls - I went up to 105# on power snatches and felt my wrist start to twinge a bit. It's a lot better than it was a week ago, so I didn't want to take any steps backwards.
Snatch Pull 5 x 3
185-3
185-3
185-3
185-3
185-3
Becky and I didn't do DB Fran - her because of her hip and me because I'm still trying to be kind to my wrist. Instead we did the following:
20-15-10 reps for time of:
Box Jumps, 24"/18"
Pull-ups
Time 3:26
This is 5 seconds slower than the last time I did this, which was on 03/20/09 (I had to break up the last set of pull-ups into 7 and 3, and I think that's what did it). At that time, I was 200# or slightly under - today's weight was 223#. Consequently, I was pretty darn pleased, and in a few weeks, I intend to be a bit lighter and better conditioned for metcons, so I look forward to doing this one again in a month or so.

Should be unprivate now.
Again: Old. Not down with you young peoples' technology.
Holy cow - holy cow. That was hilarious. I'm sitting at home - alone - and I watched it no less than 5 times, laughing very out loud every time.
I don't know why it makes me laugh so hard, but it's ridiculous.
Please tell me I can post that video on hopafence. Please.
Now I'm going to watch it again.
Holy cow. I can't stop giggling every time I think of it!
Okay, I've watched this now with sound, and it's hilarious-er. hahahahaha! My personal fav is the "woah!"
