My bar path is good when I work with pulls and jumps. I'm hoping that I can figure out how to transition this to my regular and power snatches.
10 rounds for time of: 15 DL, 135# 15 Push-ups
17:19
I did the push-ups on my fists except for round 3. I did that one with normal push-ups - it was doable, but it definitely twinged, and I didn't want to make things worse, so I switched back for the rest of the WOD.
had an unscheduled rest day this week - had a visit i had to make at the hospital. i wanted to do this wod sometime this week. and, as usual, when phil does it first, i wanted to beat his time. 10rft: 135# dl x 15 15 push-ups time: 14:24 all deadlifts were unbroken
Seth - you are a jerk . . . and that's exactly what I would have tried to do if the situation were reversed.
The push-ups are my downfall. Doing them on my fists is slightly harder (slightly greater range of motion), but it wouldn't have mattered all that much (not on the order of an almost 3 min difference) - I still would have had to break them up . . . which means I still lose. Bah.
Side note - I forget your bodyweight, but know you're significantly lighter than me - nice work on the unbroken deadlifts.
Phil: just so you know, anytime there is a workout on hopafence that i like or corresponds to one from the mainsite for the week, i try to do it. but, i typically only post when my time or rounds are better than yours. by my estimation, on those types of wods, we are about even. i'll start posting when i loose too, if for no other reason than to make you feel better (i had to do that for corzine, too) my bw is about 147lbs. sidenote: about 12 years of kempo-goju karate and we did push-ups only on our knuckles - usually, and i'm not kidding, on concrete. after about 3 years of it you develop usually shaped knuckles and some nice deep callouses. i still do push-ups on knuckles for warm-up sometimes. one trick is to roll up onto the first two knuckles and not on the whole fist.

15 Deadlift, 135# (yes, that's right, I'm an idiot...I did 135# instead of women's weight of 95# sigh...)

Wow...I KNEW that the deadlifts seemed really heavy compared to what I was thinking they'd be like...so funny.
I chuckled at this.
You would.
Workout was just swim 1000yards with the first 500 being at 85% and the last 500 at 95%.
