Rest day but felt like working on snatch technique for a bit:
3-position snatch (mid-hang, below knee hang, from deck): 65-3 95-3 115-1 115-3 "3" implies 1 rep at each of the 3 positions. "1" implies only mid-hang.
Snatch from the deck x 1: 125-1 135-1 (ties squat snatch PR) 145-miss 145-miss 145-1 (squat snatch PR)
All snatches were squat snatches. At 145, jumping the bar high enough was not the issue (I've power snatched 150 before, although that particular lift was ugly) - stabilizing the bar overhead was.
I recorded all 3 attempts at 145 and wish I had not deleted the missed attempts - I'm pretty sure I'm not keeping the bar close enough to my body.
The successful 145 attempt makes for a humorous video since I bellow like a crazy person afterward. It might make it up on Hop a Fence at some point.
