Not a good Murph today - the push-ups wrecked me. Started off by trying to do too many at once - this is a mistake I usually make actually, but today it really bit me in the butt.

Mile 1 - 6:36
Mile 2 - 7:28

First mile was decent - not a PR, but then, that wasn't the goal. Second mile should have been faster.

The upside - I have some very solid motivation to get better at push-ups.

I did big boy push ups for the first time in Murph today. I did jumping pull ups, though I planned to do some kipping, but the set up didn't allow me to. Next time. Also, I think this is the fastest mile I've ever run (first one, of course).

51:something. Last time was 57:something.

It's possible that this was my best "Murph" time ever. Seems like last time was 52 minutes and some.

Mile 1 - 7:40ish
Mile 2 - really slow

I was quite happy with the mile 1 time. I wish I could say that I ran that hard because of my own intrinsic motivation.

Unfortunately the only reason I ran this well was because Kiley and Becky were running in front of me and I was not willing to let them beat me back to the garage.

Chris, I admire you. I'd have let them beat me back to the garage. Never am I so cynical as when I'm "running." In fact, I'd have let them beat me back to the garage, and then mocked them for it.

I did Diane yesterday, except that I had to scale the HSPUs to 9-6-3 inverted shrugs. Time was 9:40.

In honor of the family I'm away from:

Murph:

"Mile 1": 12:30
"Mile 2": 13:18
Total: 47:18

I hadn't originally intended on doing a CF this morning, just going for a jog around Bob & Karen's neighborhood. Its humid but nice, very lakeside-esque, sans lake. About 6 mins out, I was like "Hey! I could do Murph!" I have no idea where a mile might be, but knowing how much I've run in the past few months, I figured that was prolly about right. Plus there was a very nice little dead-end sidewalk right next to a busier street. Good space, right equipment, people staring - **sigh. So familiar.
Points:
1) I miss you guys.
2) You can't fake making girl push-ups look tough.
3) On the way out, I had run by dog poop, spaced along the side walk, like someone had been running a dog and not let it stop to poop (or a Snoopoop (TM) attack?)
So, I got a bit lost on the way back home...runningrunning...err, joggingjogging, trying to find the right turn street. don't know which way to go, not wanting to spend any more energy running down the WRONG street.....and then!

Hansel & Gretel moment - the turds led me home.

:D Enjoy your CF this morning! I think of you!

Kris - I am impressed. Never have I started running a mile, only to think, "Hey, I think I'll do Murph."

Sweet :-)

Jacob - I laughed at "inverted shrugs" . . . and understood completely.
