1 Burp-up = 1 Burpee + 1 Pull-up (no fair doing a bunch of burpees and then a bunch of pull-ups)
My thought is that we all can do this in the gym. I'll do my pull-ups on the basketball hoop supports - should be fun jumping that high each time. Kiley and Kathy - you can use the two sets of rings (Kiley's and mine, respectively). Thoughts on that?
Credit for this little beauty goes to Coach Rut down at CrossFit KC. Kiley and I might be able to take credit for the term "burp-up," but I'm pretty sure I saw it somewhere else too.

1) I think Kris actually wrote "burp up" one day and then read it out loud. But I could be mistaken.
2) I cannot BELIEVE you posted shoulder press. My shoulders hurt SO BAD today. I actually did yell a little at my screen when I read it.

4) So K and I are doing RING pull ups, yes? I like. I mean, I don't. But...I do.

2) Sorry. But just think, you almost have 24 hours before you have to do shoulder press.
3) It's a substantial jump, but yes. As I get tired, I probably will need to take one step off the wall to get up there.

Jumping ring pull ups for my "ups": 17,18,9. Several theories have come to mind concerning my weird reps...My favorite theories are:
- I lost track in round one.
- I almost died after the first minute and slowed down too much to try to breathe...
Then spin.
Then 2.5 of the slowest running EVER.
Mom and I did basic shoulder presses with a fixed weight
Then I did 9 - 5 - 4 Burp-ups, or, as I call them "e*trade Baby"
In Rd. 2 Mom and I were sort of interfering with each other. It'll be smoother next time
BTW - Mom hates figuring out the exercise, counting, timing, "I just want to know what to do, do it, and be done." wah, wah, wah
I did 60,65 fail,55,60,65 fail on shoulder press.

Some further comments:
1. I felt a little like Spiderman today since I had to run up the wall every time to get to the supports. It was kind of cool. Fortunately - no spandex.
2. I think calling burp-ups "e*trade babys" is genius. That said, I think Mom might be the E*trade baby - she did burp-ups and she goes "wah wah wah."
