Rested a few minutes.
Swam 500y, doing flip turns every other lap. Time was 8:40.
Rested 3:00.
Swam 500y, doing all flip turns (had to stop once to empty out leaky goggle, so I missed that turn). Time was 7:52. I don't think I was swimming fast enough to be off by 50y in :50 since a fast 100y for me is 1:19, making a fast 50y about :60...so that means flip turns are faster than not. =)
