I've been doing those on deadlift days for a while. I enjoy them, and it seems to be a good way to get a little more explosive work in (besides power snatch once a week) . . . and it's heavy, which is nice.
RDL 185 x 10 x 3 . . . trying to use those to stretch out the hamstrings and get a better start position for DLs, snatches, and cleans. Since it's weighted, I can still maintain that lumbar curve when I reach the stretched position (which - I saw on camera - is lower than I thought it would be, so that's nice). If it was not weighted, I couldn't quite do this. Marvelous effect.
