I think I have a mental disorder. I just said these things out loud, to myself, at my desk (after re-reading the WOD for today):
"OH! It's only FORTY double-unders!"
"1 Pood! Yah buddy!"
Sigh...and the worst part is that even though those things seem like they make the WOD SO MUCH EASIER...I know it will still about kill me.
It only seems like it will about kill you because you watched it about kill me.
The more in shape members of this readership did fine....
The difference-maker was the double-unders.
AMRAP
BW = approx 215#
SDHP @ 110#
DB snatches @ 55#
5 rounds + 10 SDHP
Tough WOD, but I think I could have done better. Not as in it mentally as I should have been.
18:58
I didn't do continuous KB swings in rounds 3 and 4, but did in round 5. I chalked up mid-round 4...I should have in the beginning. Anyway, other than that...toughie.
First WOD since Holy Tuesday (it was a busy week)
Row 1K
40# DB Squat Snatch x 50
Row 750m
Snatch x 35
Rows 500m
Snatch 20
Time: 19:21
the first round of squat snatches was brutal after the row my last 500m row was about 2:12 (slow!)
plan on doing the chipper on Saturday, finally
I thought that one looked interesting, Seth. I think Kiley and Becky did it last week.
I'd like to try it sometime - I'm not sure if I have the flexibility for the 1-arm squat snatch. It would be good to acquire it.
