200m run

This WOD is courtesy of CF Omaha - they used it as Event #6 for their tryouts for their CrossFit Games Affiliate Cup team. They had 3 events this past Saturday and then another 3 on Sunday - this was their very last event.  As such - and if anybody cares - I encourage some type of lift beforehand . . . or whatever.  I've modified this slightly to fit what we have (e.g., low jumping pull-ups instead of rope climbs), but I've tried to keep it fairly intact.

We don't have 2-2 pood KBs, so my intent is to load up 2 barbells - each weighing 70#. These will be my KBs, and the balance factor should make it interesting.  We can do 50 yard down-backs (25 yards each way) in the gym - the volleyball court itself is 20 yards long.

I did not do the Chipper, though it looks like a fun one.

Front Squat 5 x 5 at 85% of PR (115) so I used 95#

"Annie"
50-40-30-20-10 reps of
Double Unders
Sit-ups
7:46
Previous time was 7:54 or something. Woot.

Then I did a little skill work on muscle ups.

MON: 3RFT: 275# DL x 10, 50 Double Unders
(Scaled to 255# DL x 10)
Time: 7:30

I have the chipper on the schedule for Friday - it is going to be a "good" Friday.

I like Seth's idea (since I'm pretty sure no one actually did the chipper on Sunday) - chipper on Friday?

Ran 10 miles today instead of squatting and the chipper.

This works out to be about 8:38 (if I recall correctly) per mile. Last year at about this time (actually about 2 weeks from now), I did a 10 mile run in Rockford in 1:21:23. That's 30 seconds faster per mile but I have some reasons to be ok with my time for this run:

1. My route in Omaha is much hillier than the one in Rockford.
2. I'm about 15 pounds heavier now than I was then.
3. Getting back down to that range in about 2 weeks might happen - maybe, maybe not.

At any rate, it felt much better than my 8 mile run last week.
