3:00 Burp-ups
1:30 Rest

1 Burp-up = 1 Burpee + 1 Pull-up (no fair doing a bunch of burpees and then a bunch of pull-ups). Don't clap your hands during the jump - just jump up to the pull-up bar and start the pull-up.
Credit for naming this metcon goes to my dad.
Then spin.

Round 1: 26
Round 2: 16
Round 3: 9
I smoked my numbers from the last time I did this WOD at NP, and came close to the numbers I had when I did it at CHS (just 1 less in the last two rounds), so I'm pretty pleased.
Spin was fun, especially when I insulted the guy who I thought was Darren: "Well this sucks. I have to bike next to you." Good thing Tom's a nice guy.
Kiley - seriously?
What follows is a public service announcement.......or an opportunity to laugh at me. It's really your choice.
Sunday I performed three separate lifts at the limit of my current ability (max effort). All in all, there were 7 work sets of 5 and another 9 warmup sets. After that, I did the "Annie" workout with Phil, Becky, and Kiley. After that, I played basketball for a hour and a half.
I took Monday off and went back in the gym to lift tonight. My thinking was "Hey, I took a day off, I'll be fine."
I got to my first work set of squats and got only 4 reps. "Weird."
The second set was only one rep long before the bar encouraged me to sit down. "Huh. Tired legs, I guess."
I moved on to bench press trying to be optimistic. I was able to perform one rep before the bar refused to go up again.
Rest is extremely important.
Don't underestimate your body's need to recover.
