I was really impressed with Kathy for a bit there - "Oh, she didn't make it work out with us, but she did it on her own. Good for her."
But . . . good for Kiley still. She showed up. Kathy didn't. Kathy: Thhbth.
correction: " . . . make it TO work out with us . . ."
I think you mean: "made it to THE workout with us"
That . . . is also possible.

Looked at my watch going into the last two exercises: 11 minutes and change. Burpees and DUs took more than 1/3 of the total overall time. Must get better at both.
The burpees mentally whipped me - I took more transition/breathing time before and during them than I have in the past for burpees. Ach.
Hmm...they mentally whipped you...is that somewhat akin to "hands mentally kicking you in the butt"?
Quite similar.
