GHD Sit-ups (Games standard)
The Games standard GHD sit-up simply means that you have to touch both hands to the floor and both hands to the foot-pad on each rep.
We only have one GHD, so it will probably be constructive to sign up for an approximate time in the comments section. Of course, these times may not work out perfectly, but I think they might help. The first time slot is at 1:30 p.m., and they continue at 20 minute intervals, so 4 time slots (which I imagine will be enough) are provided below. Please note that any given starting time implies that the athlete is warmed up and ready to go at that time (i.e., weight on the bar, chalk on hands, water nearby if necessary, etc.).
1:30 p.m.
1:50 p.m.
2:10 p.m.
2:30 p.m.
Also, I don't recommend GHD sit-ups for everyone, so I might be in contact with some of you about subbing sit-ups or something similar to GHD sit-ups in place of that exercise. In this case, you may sign up for whichever time slot you wish (even if someone else has signed up for it already).

I'll do 1:50
Becky has 1:30.
Andrea will also be going at 1:50.
Lake Wehrspann (Chalco Hills) 10K race at 7:30 a.m.
45:18 (7:18/mile)
I was very pleased with this time - for a couple reasons. Chalco Hills is fairly hilly, but the main reason lies in my running (or lack thereof) over the past 2-3 months.
I ran the Lincoln Half in early May (the 5th, 6th?), and since then, I have not run anything over 2 miles in any given workout, and those 2 miles were separated by about 20 minutes of other stuff ("Murph" - which was at the end of May). Also, I haven't run anything longer than a 400 since the end of May.
With training, this time would be a little on the slow side, but as I said, I was pleased. I figured I'd do well if I stayed under 7:30/mile.
As usual, I'm impressed with CrossFit.
There's a race at Peak (5k or 10k) at the end of the month. It's sponsored by Outback steakhouse. Post-race refreshments include steak and bloomin' onions. Anyone interested?
Sorry - I think I should mention this. The purpose of that long post was not "ooh, I'm good," but rather, "CrossFit is good."
Front Squats and GHD Sit-ups:
21:31
Similar to the front squats in one of the 2009 Rocky Mountain Qualifier WODs, I cleaned the weight each time I began a set (receiving the bar in a full squat), so rising up out of that clean counted as 1 front squat. Using multiple sets per round therefore equated to multiple cleans per round - that was great fun.
I think the front squat rounds went something like this:
1: 21
2: 5,6,7
3: 6,6,3
4: 6,6
5: 5,4
6: 6
7: 3
I was pretty happy with that first round, but man, I was shot after that.
Andrea's time:
15:10
Andrea, I know you used the women's bar, but I saw a 45# bar sitting there as well. Perhaps you used that also in one of the earlier rounds?
Andrea cleaned the bar each time and squatted down to a 20# med ball.
13:43
65# front squat (did NOT clean it)
