I worked on hang cleans at CHS in the evening.

Terminology 101:
Most of you probably know this by now, but just in case - if the word "power" is not used, it is implied that any clean is received in the full squat position (this also applies to the snatch). Consequently, although I may occasionally use the terms "hang squat clean" or "squat clean" to be very clear when referring to those two movements, the terms "hang clean" and "clean," respectively, mean the same thing. Additionally, it's the proper term, and we do try so hard to be proper.

Worked with doubles and singles, posting the singles:

185-1
190-1
195-1
200-1
205-1
210-1
215-1 (ties PR)
220-1 (PR)
225-miss
225-miss

Both attempts at 225# were cleaned high enough and were received. However, I think I caught the bar a bit too far forward on my shoulders both times as I couldn't hold it up there (video on 07/20/09). Overall, good day for cleans.

I thought getting up early and going for a nice run after the preceding night's festivities sounded a little ambitious..... ;)

I also did a little hang clean work at CHS over the weekend:

3-165
3-175
3-185
1-195 (ties PR)
1-205 (PR)
1-215 (PR)

Now that I can officially clean my body weight (205), all I need to do for this July challenge thing is jerk that weight overhead and add 14 more reps? Should be able to get to that point in the next 10 days, no problem.

Nice cleans.

Yeah, jerking my BW is not going to be fun.
