Here it is folks - it's the last day of July, so today we'll take on Dutch's July Challenge:
The challenge this month will be to take your bodyweight from the ground to overhead enough times to total 3000 lbs for men and 2000 lbs for women.

Scaling will be allowed on an individual level based on the coaches prescription however if the weight is scaled the participant must do 3000 lbs regardless of gender.

Here is an example:
I weigh 158 lbs.
3000/158 = 18.xxxx
You will round up regardless of the decimal point. I must perform 19 reps at 158 lbs as fast as possible (see video).
Example 2:
Michele weighs 145lbs
2000/145= 13.xxx
Michele must do 14 reps at 145 lbs as fast as possible.

Scores will be counted in seconds and divided by the number of participants.
Michele and My score would be:
117+223=340
340/2= 170

Again i only need to see one score unless you are an individual. In which case post your weight/reps as well as time. Time will be the only thing scored.

My Thursday work-out:
"Doofus"
Rent carpet Cleaner machine
Fill Reservoir with hot water
Using long pulling strokes, draw machine toward self
Empty bucket outside with swinging movement
Rinse bucket and empty again
Repeat above as needed for next two hours or until no more suds (from the laundry detergent bottle that vibrated off the top of the clothes dryer onto the floor, dislodging cap and spilling contents onto carpet)

I posted the wrong time before - here's the old comment with the correct time:

185#, 17 reps, 10:16 (BW was 195#)

I look forward to the day when I can jerk again (instead of push press) . . . very much. Cleans were fine, push press (more specifically, shoulder strength) quickly became the limiting factor.

Here are all the times (in both min:sec and sec) for Dutch's July Challenge. Jacob and Seth, I hope you don't mind - I'll be posting/submitting your times as well as part of our group. (this has the added bonus of lowering our group average) If you've already posted your time and reps to Hopafence, I also posted that again. If you haven't done so already, I didn't want to steal your thunder, so I just posted your time.

The numbers listed are time (sec), time (min: sec), load, and reps.

Listed in alphabetical order by first name:
Becky 630 10:30
Chris 489 8:09
Jacob 404 6:44 143# 21
Kiley 519 8:39 85# 36
Phil 616 10:16 185# 17
Seth 423 7:03 145# 21 (BW-nice!)

Total time: 3081 seconds
Ave: 3081/6 = 513.5
Score: 514

This has also been posted on Dutch's blog - check out the link below for that comment or if you'd like to see other folks' times as well. Some are pretty darn impressive.
