Back Squat:
Did sets of 5 until I felt like stopping.
225-5
245-5
265-5
275-5
It seemed as though I was doing a better job of sitting back on my heels than usual, and I think this may have helped me keep a more vertical torso.

The 400m runs felt slow, but the OHS were continuous, and this was a PR by over 1.5 min, so the runs might not have been as slow as they felt.

Nancy - 50# b/c my shoulder hurt at 55#. I was frustrated by that to say the least. Had planned on 65#. But...whatever. I finished in 20:24. Last time I used this weight I finished in 24:06 so that's a good improvement.

I cannot do that workout without saying.....

"NANNN-cy."

....about 20 times.

It's an obscure reference to an ESPN commercial:

A bunch of women are sitting around at a baby shower. The un-girly woman is working hard to check game scores on her cell phone. The women are passing gifts around. She gets handed a cute little baby dress. She wipes sweat off of her face with the cute little baby dress and passes it to the next woman.

After the shower, ESPN is interviewing her outside the house and discussing her performance and how tough it was to keep up on sports scores in that environment. She's quoted as saying "I just hope my sister will still give me a ride home."

Cut to her sister peeling out and sporty-woman running after the car yelling: "NANNNN-cy!"

Long story.

Only kind of funny.

NANNN-cy.

Great. Now I'm stuck saying that word the same way - even though I don't remember the commercial. Since I don't know that woman's voice, my brain has decided to say it the same way that one game show contestant says "Turkey" . . . but more drawn out. Sigh.
