Power Clean
5-5-5-3-3-3

The power clean is a clean from the deck (ground) wherein one receives the bar in the power position, i.e., thighs above parallel.

Rest several minutes.

5 rounds for time of:
5 Box Jumps, 24"/18"
12 Push-ups

I ended up doing overhead squats instead of power cleans - did power cleans on Saturday, 05/16/09.

Evening at CHSFelt like doing Overhead Squats instead, so I did. Went pretty much by feel and worked up to some heavy singles (heavy for me, anyway).

Pretty excited about that - once I can OHS my bodyweight, I'd like to aim for the 15 x bodyweight.

I surprised myself a little and didn't have to break up the push-ups (although the last set was very slow). Was off my rhythm on a few jumps.
