Be bummed no more - I think missing was probably a good idea. The spin instructor gave a good workout; I wasn't a fan of her music, but she did well overall.
I will indeed be lake-hopping. Probably modified so as to avoid wrist issues. For starters, that means burpees are probably out, and push-ups have to be on my fists (it's the "bent-wrist" pressure that causes problems). I think my dad might have me put anyone who's interested through a WOD, so that should be fun.
Also, you should check out the Gym Jones website if you get a chance - there's a link on the blog. You'd probably love reading his thoughts. He trained the actors/stuntmen in "The 300" and is actually how I discovered CrossFit.
Gym Jones is an attitude. It is perhaps best described as “utter commitment to the task at hand” and characterized by the mobilization of all available resources to achieve a particular goal.

Okay...THIS workout I can taper and do. =) THANKS!!!
Very welcome - we aim to please here at Hop a Fence. Did you find any CDs that worked?
First, how do you stay up so late? Second, yes. Thanks! It helped a lot. We'll prolly use it again today.
I only was up late because I didn't have to get up early the next morning (since it was a rest day).
Also, today's WOD was 7 x 3 originally - we switched it to 5 x 3 since I was a little late this morning.
Ah. Well clearly I did NOT make it today. I am bummed. But I'm thinking now maybe it's for the best with the tri etc.
You gonna hop at the lake? THINK OF ALL THE POTENTIAL CROSSFITTERS YOU COULD INFLUENCE! =)
