Rest Day
I'm giving something a try here - CF promotes a 3-day-on, 1-day-off regimen, but since I'm not too good about taking rest days when I should, I usually gravitate toward a 6-day-on, 1-day-off schedule (i.e., working out Mon-Sat and then taking Sunday off). So we'll see how this goes - I've been intending to try it for awhile. And given my admiration for the CF people and their expertise, I don't have a good reason to disbelieve them.
As always, anyone who follows this blog is - of course- free to ignore whatever I post. Make up your own schedule, use the posted rest days to catch up on missed WODs, etc. Also, I'll probably keep Sundays as a semi-permanent rest day, so my plan is to hit the 3-1 schedule on average. So there might be weeks where I go 2-on, 1-off, 4-on, 1-off. Actually, this will happen starting on Friday and will probably happen fairly often.

Whaaaaaat? I disagree! Is this b/c of the duathlon???
No - however, don't register for the duathlon - it's on Sunday. Unless you want to do it on Sunday. In that case, go right ahead. Me . . . I think not.
Hahahaha...you doing the run then?
Yup - I'm in for the 5-miler. And Kris and Nate are in for the 2-miler.
Cara?
Andrea?
Umm . . . any other random people who might live near Omaha/Fremont and actually read this blog . . . and these comments?
LOL! I just laughed way too loudly for work. Because how hilarious would that BE if someone DID post? Bwhahahahaa!
Also, right after I posted the question I saw that the race was posted. Der. I'm in for 5 if you guys will wait for me again. And Cara's a maybe for the 2.
ALSO, regarding this paradigm shift...will you be just taking off of CF on the days off or like, still running?
No running. Off is off. Where else can you find such wisdom on the web . . . "off is off."
However, I may still pursue my many other sporting interests on rest days (if they happen to be on those days) . . . like softball, figure skating, ping pong, and tiddly-winks.
I believe I would pay to see you figure skating. Yes, I'm sure I would. Especially after hearing today that you played those hand clappy games when you were younger.
